9th annual Tastes of the Valley wrap up
30 plates.
Yes. I ate & photographed 30 plates of delicious & locally sourced food today. Needless to say, I will not be worrying about dinner tonight. Or possibly breakfast tomorrow. As per usual, the wonderful folks at the Wolfville farmer’s Market did an incredible job of putting it all together & I thank them endlessly for wanting me to be a part of it again this year.
If you missed it, I’m sorry. It kinda sucks to be you. On the upside though, I’m going to post a whole bunch of pictures for you to drool over. Try not to hate me. Really, I’m just doing my job.
A quick note before we get to the pictures though….. Please support your local Farmer’s Market, wherever “local” may be to you, and all of the restaurants in your area that do so as well. They both support our farmers & artisans. You can’t just say local, because if you want it to be around, you have to buy local.
Now on to the drooling.
Winner were as follows;
Savoury dish- Frais Catering (Haddock Stew)
Sweet dish- Gourmandises Avenue (Valley milk, raspberry & wine filled cream puff)
People’s Choice- Privet House (Seared halibut with dulse tampenade over hodge podge)
