Balsamic Figs

Balsamic FigsThese little babies are incredible. Sometimes it’s difficult to find fresh figs but if you can….. try this!!!

Mix together

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • sprinkle of salt & pepper

Preparation

Slice fresh ripe figs in half and set in oil & vinegar mixture flesh side down for 15 or 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 and lay figs flesh side up on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, drizzle on half of remaining oil & vinegar mixture and place directly under broiler until nicely browned. Top with remaining oil & vinegar and a dash of fresh pepper and serve hot.
